I have the privilege of volunteering as a One Hope United Foster Grandparent (FG). Although I have no children of my own, Wanless Elementary School students and staff call me “Grandma Chris.”

I tutor second-grade students in reading and math and work closely with two exceptional second-grade teachers, Christine Dunn and Stephanie Lightfoot. Principal Karen Crump works closely with FG Director Gloria Monahan in support of the program. Their collaboration has permitted FG volunteers to be used most effectively in many of our schools.
